It is a complete shambles that North Devon Council has not opened Barnstaple bus station over 2 years. The bus station was an important part of the transport network in North Devon, providing a safe, dry place to queue for a bus.
The station also had a public toilet, something the Liberal Democrat lead council has failed to invest in. I fully support the MP Selaine Saxby who has been campaigning for the station, north Devon's biggest transport hub, to be re-opened since last winter.
Ian Roome the leader of North Devon Council is standing as the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate, maybe he should spend more time doing his day job and less time campaigning.
