It was great to catch up with many friends, candidates, and MP's in Manchester. Rishi Sunak was delivering his vision for the country, one where we make long-term decisions for a brighter future. Making the difficult choices, not because it's politically expedient but because it's the best thing for the future of the entire United Kingdom.
Particularly good to see so many people, including David Exwood (pictured), at the Conservative Rural Forum reception on Monday. Earlier that day the Secretary of State had announced that Homes England will be releasing a rural housing strategy, using case studies in Cornwall and Cumbria as the template for creating affordable housing where it is most needed.
Especially great news about the commitment today to increase transport links across the country, looking forward to hearing how this will benefit the South West.
