James Wright has been selected as the Conservative candidate for the Bath constituency at the next general election. Born and raised in Combe Down, Bath, and currently residing in Somerset with his family, James brings a wealth of experience as the UK Director for a technology company.
James is committed to holding the Liberal Democrat council accountable for initiatives such as the implementation of unwanted Low Traffic Neighborhoods. He also aims to challenge their spending choices, questioning the allocation of funds to projects like the controversial £7.4 million 'Ring of Steel' while cutting support for local charities.
Following his selection, James commented, "It is an incredible honor to be selected as the Conservative Party Candidate for the City where I grew up. I can’t wait to get out on the doorstep, listening to local people and helping them with their priorities.
“The Lib Dem council and Lib Dem MP have failed to deliver for the people of Bath. From imposing broken and deeply unpopular ‘Ring of Steel’ and low-traffic neighborhoods that increase congestion, to now charging local people to park based on the emissions of their cars. This just demonstrates the utter contempt the Lib Dems have for local people and those business that need their vehicles to operate.”
“As a business owner, I know the challenges and opportunities of running a business in Bath. I hope I can use this experience to support all our local residents and businesses to make our beautiful part of the West Country an even better place to live and work."
