Following reports that there has been a Government notice served on WECA after concerns from ministers about the way the authority has been run, James Wright, MP Candidate for Bath, said:
“The Liberal Democrat-led council in Bath and Northeast Somerset has failed local people, all the while cutting services and wasting spending £7.4 million on town centre bollards.
“Given the pressures that councils across the West Country are under, it is vital that we have a council that is serious about improving our area and not wasting public money on vanity projects.
“I am calling for the council to focus on improving public transport and our local roads network, which are vital for the brilliant small businesses we have here in Bath.”
