Earlier this month James Wright, Conservative Candidate for Bath met with the Electric Bear Brewing Co. and Barry Watts Head of Public Affairs at the Society of Independent Brewers and Associates. On the visit James heard about the challenges facing independent brewers in Bath and how the Electric Bear Brewing Co. had overcome these building a business that not only supplies pubs but consumers directly both online and on its own premises Thursday to Sunday.
Commenting James Wright said "Independent businesses like the Electric Bear Brewing Company are the backbone of the economy. 60% of all the people who are employed in the UK are employed by small and medium-sized enterprises. To grow the economy to pay for all the services, infrastructure and national defense we need to support businesses just like this one.
I will be supporting SIBA's calls to amend the Good Pub Guildines to ensure tied pubs support guest beers, allowing independent brewers like Bath's own Electric Bear Brewing Co. to feature on the taps of pubs and bars across the country."
